majid

A lot of folks don’t know handsome Ghanaian/Nollywood actor, Majid Michel was agnostic/atheist. However, he has had an epiphany and now believes that a God, ultimate designer of all things exists and is very much alive. Yesterday the actor took to social media to reveal that the realization of God’s existence just hit him. According to him, after staring at the sky the night before, he had an epiphany and figured out that God truly exists.

majid-michel

He said:

“Lord God I have never spoken to you. But now I want to say…how do you do? You see God, they told me you didn’t exist and like a fool I believed all this. Last night from standing outside, I saw your sky and I figured right then they had told me a lie. “Had I taken time to see the things you made I’d have known they weren’t calling a spade a spade. I wonder God if you’ll take my hand. Somehow I feel that U’d understand. Funny I had to come to this hellish place before I had time to see your face. “Well I guess there isn’t much more to say but I’m sure glad God I met you today. Like the zero hour will soon be here but I’m not afraid since I know you are near. The signal… well…God I’ll have to go. I like you lots I want you to know. Looks like this will be a horrible fight who knows, I may come to your house tonight. “Though I wasn’t friendly to you before I wonder God if U’ll wait at your door. Look I’m crying, I’m shedding tears I’ll have to go now God, goodbye…. Strange…now, since I met you, I’m not afraid to die . #LEADERSHIP.”
THE FACTS | Why Most Men don’t Forgive their Cheating Wife

THE FACTS | Why Most Men don’t Forgive their Cheating Wife

A married man might be hearing dirty stuffs about his wife and will keep his cool, but the day he catches her in the act, one way or the other, everything changes.

In her lone moments, 38yrs old Kolawole Busola, (real name withheld) would certainly wish she could undo the string of events that led her into the waiting arms of a bad guy Daniels, a colleague at work.

Married to a businessman, Babatope, 43, who travels frequently without much time for romance for their love and intimacy to grow, Busola still has herself to blame for what she has got herself into.

How did she land in bed with the guy? Her undoing was sharing her worries with a male colleague who she thought would offered wise counsel but he saw her as opportunity for free s*x. They became close and started going out together. She did it so well that her husband never suspected anything.

Not long after, their friendship became platonic (intimate and affectionate) and few months after, they ended up in bed, having s*x. They did that more than once, and it became a routine to the extent that her husband suspected and started monitoring her, discreetly.

Eventually, Babatope found out that his wife had been sleeping with another man the day he picked his wife’s phone and saw her text messages. According to him, that was the end. Not even pleas and admonitions by family members and friends could convince him to shelve his plan to send her away.

They would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary two weeks ago, like they did when it was 10 years, but that celebration was the last thing on their mind that day. Their marriage was already on a fast lane to hit the rocks since the day he found out about his wife’s infidelity.

The union that many admired, on its face value perhaps because they are rich, is getting worse by the day, and not even the pleas and explanations that Busola is dying to offer would make any difference.

Furious Babatope has made up his mind on sending her out of the house, because according to him, the sin committed by his wife was unforgiveable. He had told her, “I can forgive and overlook anything, but not infidelity from my wife. I can never forgive that. So, she has to go.”

Meanwhile, Busola recalled that she had also caught him chatting a lady before and she had to forgive him and that they resolved it after her husband offered some explanation. She started claiming right that now it's her turn, she can't reconcile herself with the fact that her loving husband couldn't forgive her.

The union is blessed with three children; two boys and a girl, but that does not seem like a sufficient reason for him to halt his decision to send her out of his life for good to go be with her play boy lover.

The Intervention
Truly, the thought of a cheating wife can be unsettling. Also, Busola’s experience is not strange; it is in fact the reality for some women. Even though men have always been seen to have more than one woman in our culture, these days some women want to compete with their husband on that, secretly though.

Understandably and for good reasons, a wife's infidelity in marriage is unacceptable, and it has previously been identified as one of the most common reasons for failed marriages.

This might sound unfair to the females, but that seems to be the case in many parts of the world.

Why is it that men find it difficult to forgive their partners if caught cheating?
According to a British Psychotherapist, Philip Hodson, men often find it more difficult to forgive such for the fact that it affects their masculinity, and to them, it might signal the end of the relationship.

Hodson, who is also a Fellow of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, said, “Men find it much harder to forgive their partners for cheating. For a betrayed woman, an affair by the man is an offence against her dignity, but for a betrayed man, a woman’s infidelity is an offence against his manhood. It goes right to the core of his identity.”

SHOCKING | Man Who Was A Billionaire In Bayelsa Is Now Poor After Justice Was SERVE

If you tell some people to take their time to build wealth and invest for a decent life, they will say you are just talking because you don't want to spend money or you don't even have money. They will point at others who are spending anyhow they like and tell you that those people don't have two heads.

Ignorance at work! It is easy to be rich but difficult to remain rich. One of the saddest episodes of life is for you to be rich today and go broke in few years after living large. Such a person will be miserable. I won't tell anyone not to enjoy life, but I will say make sure that your enjoyment can last.Simple!

Someone who goes by the identity Mushy shared a story about a "big boy" we should learn from:

There was this wealthy politician in Bayelsa State who celebrated One Billion Naira during the reign of late Governor Alamesiegha a.k.a ALAMCO.
I was a batch A corper between 2004/2005, leaving with my uncle in Kpansia area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He told me to dress up for a club, that a cousin of the then governor is celebrating N1billion.
I was confused initially but, my people, it was a reality when I got there and saw some of our corper babes in club arena. Behold! the celebration was that the politician had hit is first One Billion Naira.
Those who are familiar with Bayelsa State knows the man slapped GEJ when he was the deputy governor, who later ran to S.A. when ALAMCO was impeached.
Recently, I escorted a friend to his house in Amassoma close to Niger Delta University... take it or leave, the same wealthy guy is broke. When I got to Yenagoa and was trying to talk about it with my uncle's friends where we're relaxing, a guy just asked me to forget the talk, saying these days the man sometimes borrow money to fuel his car.
Marvellous! Marvellous!! One Billion Naira? How did he waste all that money?

POGBA BACKS RONALDO FOR BALLON D'OR AHEAD OF MESSI

POGBA BACKS RONALDO FOR BALLON D'OR AHEAD OF MESSI

Paul Pogba has backed Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Ballon d'Or due to his title winning form with Real Madrid and Portugal. The Madrid star scored the winning penalty as rivals Atletico were beaten in the Champions League final via a shootout, before guiding his country to a first ever major tournament win in Euro 2016 this summer.
Ronaldo watched long-time rival Lionel Messi pick up his sixth Ballon d'Or in January, ending his two-year streak to boost his overall tally to three. But Pogba feels Ronaldo deserves to be awarded for his exploits thus far this season. "You have [Lionel] Messi, you have Ronaldo.
Honestly, I like them both. [Antoine] Griezmann has had an amazing year," he told ESPN Deportes. "For me, it's Cristiano Ronaldo [who should win], because he won the Champions League and Euro 2016."

Paul Pogba has refused to rule out a future return to Manchester United, describing the club as his "first family". The Juventus star has been strongly linked with a summer move away from Turin, with Real Madrid and United understood to be leading the chase for his services.
United, who sold Pogba to Juventus in 2012, are reportedly keen to re-sign the midfielder for a world record fee of £100 million. With speculation surrounding his future intensifying by the days, Pogba was presented with the shirts of all three clubs when attending the ESPY awards ceremony on Wednesday.
When handed the Juventus jersey, Pogba replied: "It's my team, my family. It's where I'm playing. When I wear this [shirt], I'm happy, I'm happy to play football. It's something I've wanted to do since I was little. I'm happy here."
He was then handed a United shirt, to which he first made a joke - "I don't know them!" before adding: "It's my first family." When pushed on his response should Jose Mourinho bid for him, Pogba replied: "I don't know. We'll see." On Real Madrid, Pogba said: "A great club.
"When pushed again on which club he prefers, Pogba opted against making a choice by adding: "I'll take all three."

The 31-year-old saw his status and minutes decrease at Anfield last season, playing just 27 times; the lowest total he recorded for a full campaign in his eight-and-a-half years of service. CONTE AIMING TO TURN CHELSEA INTO A 'BLAZING INFERNO

Antonio Conte is aiming to turn "underrated" Chelsea into a "blazing inferno" as he begins work as the club's new manager. The Italian was addressed the media in his first press conference, having been appointed has Jose Mourinho's permanent replacement following an interim spell in charge from Guus Hiddink.
Chelsea finished last season in 10th place, setting the worst ever defence of a Premier League title which cost Mourinho his job last November, and Conte recognises the strength of his rivals ahead of the new season.
"First and foremost, I felt very emotional about coming to Chelsea and it feels incredible," he told reporters."I am aware the league will be very competitive and I hope the winners of the Premier League next season deserve it. "I think we're underrated but I hope we can surprise people. I hope there is a small flame flickering that can grow into a blazing inferno.

Transfer News: Man Utd sale, Sanchez's Arsenal exit, West Ham talks, Liverpool deal U-turn

Tyler Reid has joined Swansea from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee. The defender, 18, has signed a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium. "I am really looking forward to a fresh challenge and getting started," Reid said.
"I see a good opportunity to play first team football with the development squad here. "I can't wait to get started. I want to make my mark, secure a starting place for the Development squad, and help make an impact this season." Reid progressed through United's youth system but did not make a senior appearance for the club.
Juventus remain keen on signing Alexis Sanchez despite having a £34million bid for the Arsenal forward rejected, according to reports in Italy. Sanchez 27, is on Juve's radar and club director Giuseppe Marotta last week claimed they had approached Arsenal over a deal.
The Gunners do not want to sell their star man but Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Juve are plotting a fresh bid. According to the claims, Juve are aware they cannot afford Sanchez unless they offload talent first. And they are banking on a £135m windfall from the sales of Paul Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci to the Premier League.
Pogba is wanted at Manchester United, while Manchester City are keen to secure Bonucci's services this summer. Gazzetta claim Juve are preparing for both players to leave and will use some of the funds to finance a bid for Sanchez.
West Ham are reportedly set for showdown talks with AC Milan over Carlos Bacca. The Hammers are believed to be keen on landing Bacca as manager Slaven Bilic seeks a new striker. Co-owner David Sullivan has already pledged £30m from West Ham's transfer budget is  available to spend on a goalscorer. And negotiations are supposedly underway between the two clubs after West Ham launched an opening bid of £21m. Bacca, 29, only joined Milan from Spanish side Sevilla last summer but the Serie A club are already seeking a buyer. Financial problems at Milan - Silvio Berlusconi is still looking to sell his stake in the club two years after putting it up for sale - mean they may be forced to sell their star players this summer. And West Ham, whose bid includes £4.2m in add-ons and bonuses, are ready to offer Bacca an £80,000-a-week contract.
Christian Benteke is not close to joining Crystal Palace, the Liverpool striker's agent insists. Reports emerged at the weekend claiming Benteke, 25, had agreed personal terms with the Eagles ahead of a move. All that was to negotiate, it was thought, was the transfer fee.
Liverpool paid £32.5m for Benteke a year ago and supposedly want £32m this summer. But his agent Kismet Eris has told Sky Sports there is "nothing in" claims that Benteke is set to quit Anfield. The Belgium international scored just 10 goals for the Reds last season.

Tiwa Savage Slams Critics Attacking Her For Supporting Black Lives Matter Camapign

Tiwa Essays Magazine cover 03
Nigerian pop star, Tiwa Savage who is currently in South Africa decided to lend her voice in speaking against the unlawful killing of Blacks by police officers in America but unfortunately, she was met with backlash from her fans in Nigeria who felt she was merely paying lip service to the goings-on in America without first addressing issues springing up in her own motherland.

The illustrious singer and mother shared the photo below in support of the #BlackLivesMattercampaign.

When it seemed people did not want to let her be for being sensitive to issues affecting the world as a whole, Tiwa took to her Instagram page to defend her actions. She stated unequivocally,  ‘I don’t need to justify my support for #BlackLivesMatter‘.
Read her post below:
Let us not let the devil distract us by letting us fight amongst ourselves and lose focus on the many tragedies happening around the whole. Yes you as an individual might not be able to fight for every cause but even the little you do will help’.
‘I don’t need to justify my support for #blacklivesmatter and it’s sad that some people should even question my support because I’m sure these same people were happy when the rest of the world supported us with our #bringbackourgirlsmovement, but you don’t want us to show support because it is not right on our doorstep. This is exactly what the enemy wants and he “the devil” is a liar’.
‘We will keep supporting each other and not get distracted and just to clarify what happens at home means so much to me as a Nigerian. I didn’t just hashtag I joined several walks in protest, used my voice as an artist and wrote ‘olorun mi’ as a tribute to lives lost on the Dana crash and will continue to do many more as it is my duty as a Nigerian, a citizen of this world and a child of the Most High’.

Saraki Begs, Malami, AGF, To Drop Forgery Charges Against Him, Ekweremadu

SaharaReporters has learned that a pensive Senate President, Bukola Saraki, today held a private meeting with the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and pleaded with the AGF to drop forgery charges against him and his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu

.The private meeting took place today at the premises of the Senate when Mr. Malami, accompanied by Ita Enang, President Muhammadu Buhari’s special assistant on the National Assembly, arrived to see Senator David Umaru, head of the Senate committee on the judiciary. Mr. Malami had gone to assure Senator Umaru of his willingness to honor an invitation by the senatorial committee.

A source at the Senate and another in the AGF’s office told SaharaReporters that Mr. Saraki requested to see Mr. Malami after the AGF’s meeting with Senator Umaru. Our sources said the attorney general acceded to the meeting with Senator Saraki, choosing to see Mr. Saraki in the presence of Ita Enang.
However, just before the meeting started, Senator Saraki and Mr. Malami agreed that it should be private.
Our sources disclosed that the embattled senator, who is facing two trials, one for alleged falsification in his asset declarations, the other for alleged forgery of Senate rules, turned the short meeting into a begging session.
One source who was briefed on what transpired told our correspondent that Mr. Saraki pleaded with the attorney general not be part of those persecuting him, swearing that he knew nothing about the alleged forgery of Senate rules under which he was elected as Senate President.
One of our sources claimed that Mr. Malami spoke sympathetically, but declined to make a commitment to stop the prosecution of Senators Saraki and Ekweremadu.
Following the AGF’s non-committal stance, a senator told SaharaReporters that Mr. Malami was likely to face hostile questioning when he is answers the summons of the Senate Judiciary committee. Mr. Malami is expected to appear before the committee tomorrow at 11 a.m. (Nigerian time).
Our Senate source disclosed that the members of the committee were divided over the summons to Mr. Malami. “Some members feel that the invitation to Malami to appear is solely intended to bully him so as to force him to withdraw charges against Dr. Saraki and Senator Ekweremadu,” the source said.
One committee member argued that the summons itself violates the constitution and Senate rules which forbid senatorial intervention in matters that are before the courts
. He cited Section 174 of the 1999 Nigerian constitution, which empowers the AGF to initiate legal proceedings against anybody according to the discretion vested in his office. The senator also remarked that Section 150 of the constitution shows that the office of the Attorney General of the Federation is one of the few offices created by the constitution.

Rev Father allegedly burnt in lover’s house flown abroad

A Reverend Father with a Catholic diocese in Anambra State (names withheld), who was allegedly burnt by a cooking gas fire in a lover’s house at Allen Avenue, Awka, has been, reportedly, flown abroad for treatment..
Our source, who pleaded anonymity, said the lover died in the inferno while the Reverend Father sustained high degree of burnt.“Your inquiry isn’t exactly false. His (Reverend Father’s) relative is a friend and he did not say anything different from your proposed report,” the source said.
It was gathered that the priest was relaxing in a one-room apartment of the alleged girlfriend (who was identified as a student of a university in the state) on the fateful day when the incident occurred.
“The girl died on the spot, but the priest was hurriedly smuggled away and we now hear that they have flown him abroad, apparently to cover traces. Are there no hospitals in Nigeria?
“I have told them to stop covering this story. What do they want to achieve by hiding this story? The truth should be said and shame the devil,” the source maintained.
But another source, who would not want to be named, said, “The priest was involved in the gas fire accident trying to save a life. All these side talks are not unnecessary.”
When Abuchi, Onwumelu, the Press Secretary to the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, was contacted on the telephone for reaction, he said he had heard about the gas fire incident involving a Reverend Father, but had no full facts of the story.
Onwumelu, who said he was in a function when our reporter called him, promised to get back to our correspondent, but he never did by the time of filing the report.
Similarly, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ali Okechukwu, said the matter had not been reported to his office. He promised to reach the Divisional Police Officer of ‘B’ Division, where the incident allegedly occurred and get back to our correspondent, but he never did.

MaguEFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu

Ade Adesomoju, Abuja
The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, on Tuesday evaded questions on the recent calls for the probe of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, for purchasing properties worth $1.5m in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Magu was departing the Rockview Classic Hotel, in Abuja, venue of a one-day workshop on ‘Anti-corruption, ethics of the legal profession and justice sector,’ when some journalists approached him for an interview.
The event was co-organised by the Nigerian Bar Association and the  Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption.Magu had adjusted himself to take questions from the journalists but as soon as the first question bordering on Buratai was asked, he sharply turned back and jumped into his waiting car.
Incidentally, while speaking earlier at the event, Magu had lamented various corrupt acts including a situation where a civil servant paid as much as over N800m as legal fee to lawyer.
Magu queried how a civil servant could have legitimately earned as much as N800m to pay a lawyer.
This came few days after some prominent legal practitioners, including Mr. Femi Falana (SAN),  had urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sack  Buratai, if the Army chief failed to voluntarily resign following the revelation that he  purchased the Dubai properties.
Magu had while speaking at the event had said his commission would start going after lawyers who aid their clients in laundering money.
He said the commission would not spare anybody, including Senior Advocates of Nigeria, who were found to have helped others to buy properties with stolen funds.
Other speakers at the event included the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami; and the Chairman, PACAC, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN).
Magu said, “I don’t want to mention some of our strategies, but we will start going after people now. If you are involved in laundering money, we will go after you it doesn’t matter who you are because the law does not respect anybody – whether you are the EFCC chairman, whether you are SAN.
“Sooner or later we will look at how people assist people to buy properties with stolen funds, how people assist others to escape justice and we will go after them.
“But for now, I want to say, please, join us in the fight against corruption to save this country so that our children and grandchildren will have a greater Nigeria.”
He said the issue of human rights needed to be de-emphasised in the ongoing war against corruption, as he urged lawyers to ply their trade while placing the interest of the nation above any other consideration.
Represented by a Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, the CJN said some recent events had called for self-assessment by players in the legal circles and justice system.
The CJN said, “Indeed, recent events within the profession have no doubt thrown up questions bordering on the ethical content of our profession and justice system, as well as its readiness to properly fight against corrupt practice.
“If charity, as they say begins at home, self appraisal must by necessity, start there too.
“This event calls for honest discourse and impartial considerations on a wide range of issues- legislative, fiscal, institutional and more importantly ethical, as affect the conduct of our Justice system.”
